We just moved to Longs, SC from Asheville, NC. I was taking
a random picture of the living room to test my camera the
other day. As you can see from the picture, there is an orb
clear as day.
There were no other orbs, no other specks of dust. Delores
has noticed Seven looking into the air and barking for no
reason since we moved here. Yes, those of you who know
Seven may brush it off by saying that Seven isn't the
brightest bulb in the box, but you never know.

I don't know if you believe in ghosts, but I have seen one at
our house. She is a little girl with blonde hair who appears to
be holding a camera (which would make sense, since we are
on a mountain and are surrounded by mountains on all
sides). I was driving up to my house one night when I saw a
little girl that was plain as day. I almost stopped the car to
see what she was doing out so late at night by herself. I
went down the driveway with a camera to the location
where I had seen her, looking for her or "spirit orbs" (digital
cameras are especially sensitive to "spirit orbs", which are
the equivalent of a living person's aura). I have a picture
(below) which shows a spirit orb as well as a wisp of light, in
the area where I saw the ghost. Apparently, spirits take
various forms depending on where they are in their
"process". Some are solid visions, appearing human, and
some are represented as these various spectra of light.
You can see the orb to the left of the "wisp".
The little girl ghost has been recently seen by neighbors with
a ghost of a woman, so the appearance of both the orb and
"wisp" could be representative of other entities. Note: I
took shots to the left and right of the orb and wisp and got
no results.
We attended a meeting of the Asheville Paranormal Society.
It is a good place to make contacts for ghost hunting outings.
I plan to visit some cemeteries, battlefields, and local haunts
as soon as the weather warms up a bit.
Update: I went on another ghost tour June 5, 2010 to have
some fun with visiting guests. The tour guide had a name for
the "wisp" but I have forgotten it. She did say that it shows
up when the apparition is either making the transition to a
ghost or when the ghost is leaving the realm. This would be
consistent with what I saw.
