The last day of April, and Day 10 without a cigarette!  The trip
was less difficult yesterday.  Riding the exercise bike has
helped.  I am adding weight training next Monday.

Did four paintings yesterday.  Here are a couple, will post the
other two later:

Dance
    16 x 20
Acrylic and Wood on Canvas

Woods
    14 x 18
Acrylic and Wood on Canvas

I am not really into either, but I wanted to experiment with
color and approach.

I've decided to list some on craigslist.  You never know.

I found out yesterday that an acquaintance in Virginia just
passed away from Lung Cancer.  He was young, had a great
wife and family.  Very sad.  Cancer is such a beast.  Prayers
go out to Coreen.  He was a good man - happy, kind, and
devoted to his family.

This strengthens my resolve to stay smoke-free.

Another reason to stay smoke-free:

This is "Gary" - the awesome Gary Fisher bike that Delores
bought for me.  I already know of a couple of people who ride
often and have invited me for a ride, so there's no excuse.  I
have only tried out Gary once.  I was forewarned not to lock
myself into the pedals at first - of course I didn't heed the
warning.  I tried going up our hill, lost momentum, and bit it -
hard - all the while, Gary hooked to my feet.

And this one today:

Eye of the Storm

 Acrylic and Wax on Canvas
